“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.'” – Mark 16:15

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” – Romans 10:14-15

The Truths we lay hold of

Creation

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” Gensis 1:1

“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” Genesis 1:26-27

Fallen state of humanity

Then the Lord God said, ‘Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat and live forever’ therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life” Genesis 3:22-24

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23

People chose to sin, and rebel against God, earning His judgment and condemnation to hell. The law was given to reveal mankind's fallen nature and increase their sin, leading them to turn to Jesus for salvation. In God's loving mercy and kindness. We find his plan to reconcile mankind unto himself.

Soultion-As followers of Jesus, we believe in the ultimate truth of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and our savior. This foundational truths of the whole word of God shapes our beliefs and guides our ministry.

Matthew 1:18
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.

John 14:6 Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'

John 3:16-18

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”

1 John 1:19

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”

Following Christ

To follow Christ means to walk in the light of truth. The Bible teaches us to live a life of love, forgiveness, and compassion, mirroring the example set by Jesus. Embracing the truth of God's word transforms us and empowers us to live out our faith and purpose here on this earth.

Matthew 4:18-22

As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.  “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”  At once they left their nets and followed him. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

Colossians 2:8-10 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.

Living in Truth

The Work of the Holy Spirit

Acts 3:19 - Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out

John 15:26-27

“When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.

Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

As followers of Christ, we are called to seek the truth in all aspects of our lives. The Bible serves as our ultimate guide, revealing the truth of God's love, grace, guidance, forgiveness and through prayer, study, and community, we deepen our understanding of the truth and grow in our faith.
